Preparing Files
These templates are files that include predefined guidelines indicating bleed, trim, and safety specifications. Using our templates helps eliminate pre-press problems and keeps your print job on schedule.
Fonts/Text
If working out of vector based software such as Adobe Illustrator or InDesign, all text must be converted to outlines before generating the final PDF file. If working out of Adobe PhotoShop, simply flatten the image.
Resolution
We recommend that all images used are at least 300dpi for printing purposes.
Color
We require that all submitted files be saved in CMYK to ensure color accuracy as all RGB submitted files are converted to CMYK.
Safety Zone
Don’t place any critical images or text beyond the safety zone, which is at least 5/8” from the final trim size, to avoid it getting cut off when the finished piece is trimmed.
Crop Marks
Please build your press-ready digital files by adding crop marks. (Lines indicating where the paper should be cut to produce the correct final size.)
Bleeds
Printed pieces that have a white border or white around the edges, DO NOT bleed. If you have images or backgrounds that you want to print (bleed) off the edge of the paper, then you must design your job larger than the final cut size and include your Crop Marks. When using bleeds you must allow for the art to extend at least 1/8" beyond the cut area for your print job.
Accepted File Types
We no longer accept any format other then PDF files please convert all files to PDF before submitting artwork. |
